Veteran English welterweight and recent Bellator MMA and BAMMA fighter Jim Wallhead (25-8) is returning to the organization where his career first flourished. The 29-year-old has signed an exclusive 18-month, five-fight deal with Cage Warriors, officials today announced. The first bout of the contract is slated for May 3 at Cage Warriors 68 in Liverpool. An opponent will be announced shortly. “Judo Jim,” a judo black belt, launched his career with Cage Warriors in 2005. He fought 15 times in the promotion – a Cage Warriors record – before competing for organizations such as M-1, Bellator (where he fought in two tournaments) and BAMMA, where he recently scored a slam-knockout of Florent Betorangal in his most recent bout back in December.
