However, first-round knockout win aside, the No. 9-ranked fighter in the latest USA TODAY Sports/MMAjunkie MMA middleweight rankings , Mousasi (39-6-2 MMA, 6-3 UFC), doesn’t see the particular triumph over unranked Santos (13-4 MMA, 5-3 UFC) as a step forward in his career. “He’s a dangerous guy, but no name,” Mousasi told reporters after the win. “Obviously, last fight I won, didn’t go up in the rankings.
