Sarah Kaufman advanced to the 2019 PFL lightweight tournament semifinals, notching nine points in the regular season. But after picking up a first-round submission win in this year’s first PFL event, Kaufman didn’t have to fight a second time. Her scheduled opponent, Roberta Samad, failed to make weight at PFL 2019, Week 4, and Kaufman was awarded a walkover result into the playoffs. Kaufman was already the top seed at that time with six points and didn’t need to compete at the July 11 event in order to secure her position in the women’s lightweight semifinals
