DUBLIN – Peter Queally produced one of MMA’s great comeback performances at Bellator Europe 4 then lifted the lid on the bulletproof mentality that has made him one of the most popular fighters to come out of Ireland in recent years. Queally (12-5 MMA, 1-1 BMMA) never has been finished in his seven-and-a-half-year professional career, but he found himself in big trouble during his welterweight clash with England’s Ryan Scope as he was caught clean by a head kick and sent to the canvas, where Scope began to unload powerful ground and pound on the fallen Irishman. But the aptly nicknamed “Showstopper” is made from sterner stuff than most and, under significant duress, somehow found a way out of his predicament before dramatically turning the fight on its head to score a crowd-pleasing TKO victory on Friday night at Bellator Europe 4. Speaking to MMA Junkie backstage at 3Arena after his thrilling victory, Queally made clear that, regardless of the trouble he appeared to be in, he simply refused to allow himself to be finished. “Not close,” he said
