Paul Daley Bellator welterweight Paul Daley expects his kickboxing match with Fernando Gonzalez to be a prelude to a title shot against MMA champ Andrey Koreshkov in February or March of next year. “My priority first and foremost is the championship,” he told MMAjunkie. “I can beat Koreshkov, I want to beat (Douglas) Lima, and I want the belt.” Koreshkov in July claimed the strap in a decision over Lima, providing Daley an immediate goal one year after Bellator signed him. A title win, the feared striker said, would in a perfect world set up a long-awaited rematch with Josh Koscheck , who makes his Bellator debut in December after leaving the UFC for the Viacom-owned promotion earlier this year. “The Koscheck fight, I presume, will have to happen after (a title),” Daley said. “Koscheck is on his way out and is trying to take the Bellator title from a big rival at the same time.” But long before he finds out what direction his rival is headed, he’ll meet Gonzalez in a Glory kickboxing match on the Spike TV main card of “Bellator 142: Dynamite” at SAP Center in San Jose, Calif.
