On Saturday’s FX-televised preliminary card at Mexico City Arena in Mexico, Williams (8-4 MMA, 1-1 UFC) needed just 23 seconds to floor bantamweight Alejandro Perez (15-6 MMA, 1-1 UFC) and then tap him out with a guillotine choke. After A flying-knee knockout loss to Chris Beal in his 2014 promotional debut, Williams was relieved to get in the win column – and to do it in such dramatic fashion.
