Patrick Cummins SAO PAULO – UFC Fight Night 77’s co-main event saw Patrick Cummins suffer his second loss in his past three fights when he was stopped in the second round by former light heavyweight title challenger Glover Teixeira . Cummins (8-3 MMA, 4-3 UFC) was able to score multiple takedowns throughout the course of the bout, but ultimately he couldn’t keep Teixeira (24-4 MMA, 7-2 UFC) grounded for long enough to do damage or lock up a submission. When the fight was on the feet, Cummins had no answer for the power of Teixeira. Prior to the contest, which took place at Sao Paulo’s Ibirapuera Gymnasium, Cummins was a perfect 2-0 in UFC fights located in Brazil. He was unable to keep that flawless record in tact but said he’s able to accept the outcome because he gave it his all. “Brazil’s always been a place that – I’ve had my greatest wins here, so I love Brazil; this isn’t going to tarnish that for me,” Cummins said
