After a lengthy spell in lockdown, Asian MMA promotion ONE Championship is ready to bounce back with its first big arena event following the coronavirus outbreak. A post to their official LinkedIn page featured a graphic that simply stated, “We’re back!” accompanied by the date of July 31 and the event’s location, Bangkok, Thailand. The event will end a five-month hiatus from live main-roster events, and follows a pair of ONE Hero Series shows that took place in Shanghai, China on June 20 and 21. Following the announcement on LinkedIn, ONE Championship CEO Chatri Sityodtong posted a message on Twitter revealing the name of the event will be “ONE Championship: No Surrender.” https://twitter.com/yodchatri/status/1276503981892739072 BREAKING NEWS: ONE Championship is BACK! After a successful ONE Hero Series 13 and 14 in China last weekend, ONE Championship will now kick off our flagship event schedule with ONE: No Surrender on July 31 in Thailand! The event does not yet have an official venue confirmed, though it is likely the promotion will return to its regular Bangkok home of the Impact Arena, which played host the promotion’s first show of 2020, “ONE Championship 106: A New Tomorrow” on January 10, where Thai starlet and former two-sport ONE champion Stamp Fairtex claimed the third win of her undefeated MMA career.
