The action at “ONE Championship 113: A New Breed” in Bangkok was dominated by muay Thai to such a degree that even the standout performer from the night’s MMA bouts was a muay Thai fighter. Yodkaikaew Fairtex (6-2) produced a devastating leg-kicking masterclass as the Thai fighter chopped down American Alex Schild (5-4) in the third round of their bout at the Impact Arena. Fairtex didn’t focus exclusively on Schild’s legs – a number of thumping efforts to the body and head also found their mark throughout the fight – but it was his attack on Schild’s calves and thighs that proved decisive as “Y2K” battered his man to a third-round stoppage to earn his second ONE Championship finish in just 14 days. Fairtex finished John Shink in the second round at the Impact Arena just 14 days earlier at ONE Championship 111, and he returned to the same venue to score another big win to build momentum in the promotion’s 135-pound division. The night’s other MMA winners were undefeated atomweight contender Denice Zamboanga (8-0) and her brother Drex Zamboanga (9-5), who both secured submission finishes, while there was a shock in the main event, as Thai starlet Stamp Fairtex lost her ONE atomweight muay Thai title to Brazilian challenger Allycia Hellen Rodrigues
