A little more than three months after a his first UFC loss, Gegard Mousasi  is back in action today at UFC Fight Night 41. But it’s hardly the quick turnaround some UFC fans seem to think it is. Sure, it’s becoming rarer and rarer to see UFC fighters competing four times a year, and many competitors are lucky to get three fights logged in a calendar year. That’s foreign territory for Mousasi, who – when including MMA fights, kickboxing matches and some amateur boxing – has logged more than 60 matchups in his career. In MMA alone, he fought seven times in 2005, six times in 2006 and six times in 2008. He said it’s no surprise that some of his biggest victories and longest winning streaks came during that stretch.
