Jon Jones UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones today made his first appearance in court since an alleged hit-and-run incident and did not enter a plea. A judge for the Bernalillo County (N.M.) Metropolitan Court told Jones during a felony first appearance that he is required to meet the standard conditions for release, meaning he is free of custody but must stay away from alcohol and drugs, refrain from breaking state laws, and remain in contact with his lawyer, Bernalillo County court spokesperson Camille Cordova today told MMAjunkie. Jones, however, will not be restricted from travel, according to the judge, and remains free on a $2,500 bond he posted Monday, one day after he allegedly ran a red light and caused a three-car accident, injuring one person. Jones is accused of leaving the scene of an accident involving death or personal injuries, a felony charge with a penalty of up to three years in prison. A 25-year-old pregnant woman whose car Jones struck suffered a fractured arm and wrist, which elevated the charge from a misdemeanor
