Amid ‘The Notorious’s ascension in the sport, he came face-to-face with a gritty Diaz who handed him his first defeat in over five years and his subsequent first inside the octagon. Now almost eight years after their last meeting, they could be matched up again. Nate Diaz has taken to social media to call for his shot at Conor McGregor with rumors of the Irishman’s return drawing closer. Insisting he was originally booked to compete at UFC 200, Diaz staked his claim at being the main event for UFC 300 instead.
