To others, the fast-growing combat sport promises windfall revenue for the state and its communities. The latter camp is in line with 49 other states, all of which regulate the sport. Westchester County apparently (N.Y.) shares the sentiment of the majority of the nation, as it plans to host its third MMA event since March tonight. The difference is this will be an amateur event and not subject to the regulations that govern the pro circuit, nor will it offer the kind of prize money that has made some the sports top stars multimillionaires
