Miranda Maverick came up short Saturday at UFC 289 , but her defeat might not have been the scariest loss she encountered. According to Maverick (11-5 MMA, 4-3 UFC), toward the end of Round 2 of her preliminary card bout vs. Jasmine Jasudavicius (9-2 MMA, 3-1 UFC) at Rogers Arena, her vision went blurry in her left eye. In Round 3, Maverick said the eye was “completely blind.” “Some things are scarier than fighting – and one of those things is going blind,” Maverick wrote in an Instagram post after the fight.
