All five fights at Dana White’s Contender Series 18 on Tuesday went to a decision, but two fighters came out with a contract. One of them was Miguel Baeza , who did everything in his power to put Victor Reyna away, but ultimately couldn’t get the finish. Despite that, White said he was impressed with Baeza (7-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC), who had a change in opponent only 11 days out. Baeza was appreciative of the UFC president’s praise, but admits he was a little worried he wouldn’t secure the contract after failing to stop his opponent inside the distance. “It was a tough fight and they changed it up on me,” Baeza told reporters, including MMA Junkie, post-fight.
