But her understanding of the implications of her next fight is crystal clear. “They basically told me that after this next win that I would get another fight with Ronda Rousey ,” Tate told MMAjunkie’s John Morgan on this week’s edition of “The MMA Road Show.” “Anything could change. Nothing is ever written in stone, but that is the idea behind it, that I will be getting a fight with Ronda after this next win.” Tate (16-5 MMA, 3-2 UFC) is currently slated to meet fellow contender Jessica Eye (11-2 MMA, 1-1 UFC) at UFC on FOX 16, which takes place on July 25 at Chicago’s United Center. Tate said she harbors know ill feelings toward her opponent ahead of the network-televised event, but she’s sensed a little bit of tension coming back in the other direction. “We’ve always gotten along all right, but I didn’t anticipate that if we got matched up to fight each other that there was going to be an energy change from her,” Tate said of Eye. “She was always nice before, and not to say that she’s rude now, but she’s definitely trying to stir the pot a little bit more
