In the main event, Glover Teixeira (33-7 MMA, 16-5 UFC) became the oldest first-time champion in UFC history when he completely dismantled Jan Blachowicz (28-9 MMA, 11-6 UFC) en route to a second-round submission that gave him the light heavyweight title. The co-headliner saw Petr Yan (16-2 MMA, 8-1 UFC) take one step closer to becoming undisputed bantamweight champion for a second time when he outgunned Cory Sandhagen (14-4 MMA, 7-3 UFC) by unanimous decision in a five-round classic to pick up the interim belt.
