Three top contenders emerged from the Maximum Fighting Championship’s thrilling MFC 41: All In card emanating from a packed Shaw Conference Centre in Edmonton, Alberta, on Friday night. Topping the AXS TV Fights lineup, Shane “Shaolin” Campbell survived a fireworks-filled first round against Marcus “Bad Intentions” Edwards and notched a TKO win 29 seconds into Round 2 of a superfight title eliminator. Campbell (10-2) avoided a number of takedown attempts from Edwards (9-3) in the opening stanza before the duo began blasting each other with a wild exchange of strikes. Both fighters were rattled in the exchanges but yet both stepped lively into the second round. However, Edwards suffered an apparent knee injury moments into the second and Campbell pounced with a barrage of ground strikes that led referee John Braak to finally step in.
