CURITIBA, Brazil – For Mauricio Rua and Rashad Evans , the third time might be the charm, at least if “Shogun” is right about his hunch. The Brazilian light heavyweight believes a matchup with fellow former UFC champ Rashad Evans is bound to happen, despite being scratched twice before. “Rashad was injured once, then we were supposed to fight again and I got hurt,” Rua said at Wednesday’s UFC 198 open workout session. “I think a fight with him is inevitable.” Rua was first expected to face Evans in 2011, when “Shogun” was still the UFC title holder. However, Evans injured his knee in training and was pulled from the fight. The two were booked again at April’s UFC on FOX 19 event, but the bout was scrapped, and Rua (23-10 MMA, 7-8 UFC) now meets Corey Anderson (8-1 MMA, 5-1 UFC) at Saturday’s UFC 198 event, which takes place at Arena da Baixada in Curitiba, Parana, Brazil
