Matt Brown needs an opponent for next month’s UFC Fight Night 60 headliner, but it appears Hector Lombard has another possibility in mind. Even before Lombard (35-4-1 MMA, 4-2 UFC) earned a decisive unanimous-decision win over durable Josh Burkman (27-11 MMA, 5-6 UFC) on Saturday’s UFC 182 pay-per-view main card, the welterweight contender was mentioned as a possible opponent for Brown (19-12 MMA, 12-6 UFC). When “Immortal’s” original opponent, former Strikeforce champion Tarec Saffiedine (15-4 MMA, 1-1 UFC), was sidelined with a groin injury , UFC President Dana White said he liked the idea of Brown vs. Lombard.
