BARUERI, Brazil – The UFC’s managing director of international development doesn’t anticipate a fight with Bellator over Quinton Jackson , despite the Viacom-owned promotion’s stance that he is still under contract. “I can assure you that if the UFC signed him, the UFC feels optimistic and confident that he’s in a position to be signed,” Marshall Zelaznik told MMAjunkie at the post-event press conference for tonight’s UFC Fight Night 58. “If we expect there’s any issue, I’m sure we’ll figure that out as the days go on.” UFC broadcast partner FOX Sports 1 announced Jackson’s return to the promotion during the live broadcast for the event at Jose Correa Arena in Barueri, Sao Paulo, Brazil. The news came as something of a surprise to MMA fans and observers.
