Former UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez made his pro wrestling debut Saturday at Mexican wrestling’s answer to WrestleMania – and absolutely KILLED it. Velasquez arrived at Lucha Libre AAA’s TripleMania XXVII event in Mexico City and took part in a six-man tag-team match. He teamed up with seasoned American wrestler and promoter Cody Rhodes, as well as Psycho Clown, and faced the trio of Taurus, Los Mercenarios Texans Jr. and a mystery third opponent. #TriplemaníaXXVII Llegó uno de los momentos más esperados de la noche. ¡CON USTEDES, “El Toro” @cainmma ! ¡EN VIVO por @Twitch – @TwitchES ! https://t.co/ajqXTWrKwS https://t.co/ACYaeiKD84 pic.twitter.com/kfPk3x4yHj — Lucha Libre AAA (@luchalibreaaa) August 4, 2019 Any fans who thought Velasquez’s more experienced colleagues would carry him through his in-ring debut were forced to reconsider when Velasquez, wearing a luchador mask, reeled off a host of eye-popping wrestling moves you’d usually only see from a seasoned operator.
