Filed under: Featured Videos , News , UFC , Videos After a fun-to-watch scrap against Jorge Masvidal at Sunday’s UFC Fight Night 88 event, a a split-decision victory sent Lorenz Larkin back on the winning path, and he’s now 3-1 since descending to the welterweight division. The win sparked praise for Larkin’s (17-5 MMA, 4-5 UFC) usual speed on the feet, as well as for his perhaps lesser-known wrestling and jiu-jitsu chops. But there were also questions regarding a less glamorous moment, when an eye-poke sent Masdival (29-11 MMA, 6-4 UFC) to his knees in the first round. It was an accident that stemmed from one his opponent’s attacks, Larkin explained, but he’s been since making sure everyone – Masvidal included – knows just how sorry he is. “He kicked my leg out,” Larkin said on MMAjunkie Radio. “He was coming in, and I just went like this, thinking ‘Maybe if I can get a hand on him.’ But unfortunately I got him in the eye.
