Liz Carmouche believes an awkward clash in styles generated an underwhelming UFC on ESPN+ 14 main event with Valentina Shevchenko . Saturday’s women’s flyweight title headliner saw Shevchenko (18-3 MMA, 7-2 UFC) defeat Carmouche (13-7 MMA, 5-5 UFC) by unanimous decision . The five-round fight featured just 60 total significant strikes, which is the third lowest number to come out of a championship bout to go the distance. There wasn’t much in the way of meaningful action, but Carmouche said that’s not on her or Shevchenko. “I don’t think that there’s blame to be had,” Carmouche said at the UFC on ESPN+ 14 post-fight news conference
