To mark the halfway point of their year, the World Series of Fighting aired a special on NBC looking back on the previous six months of moments that have helped define its champions. Among those featured was bantamweight titleholder Marlon Moraes . Moraes, who came to the WSOF a couple years ago as a relative unknown in the United States, quickly rose up the ranks and captured the promotion’s 135-pound title and has emerged as one of the company’s premier fighters. For Moraes, being part of the special was not only a celebration of what he’s accomplished for the WSOF, but it also allowed him to show a side of himself to fans he feels is important for them to see. “It was good for the fighters that they got to show a little bit of us this way,” Moraes told MMAWeekly.com. “We can go out there, we can fight, we can be warriors, but we can be nice guys.
