Another injury, another late-notice opportunity, and another UFC contract for a Legacy FC fighter. Legacy FC featherweight champion Damon Jackson (9-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC) has replaced injured Justin Edwards (8-4 MMA, 2-4 UFC) and now meets lightweight Yancy Medeiros (9-2 MMA, 0-2 UFC) at UFC 177. MMAjunkie first reported Edwards’ injury on Thursday, and UFC officials today announced his replacement. UFC 177 takes place Aug. 30 at Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento, Calif. The main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass.
