Jason Sampson With a single split-decision defeat as the only blemish on his professional record, some might be surprised to see Jason Sampson dropping from his regular home of bantamweight down to make his flyweight debut at Legacy FC 38. The decision to test out a new, lighter division appears to have come as a bit of a shock even to Sampson (11-1) who faces Joseph Sandoval (7-4) in Friday’s co-main event at Allen Event Center in Allen, Texas. The main card airs on AXS TV. “I wrestled 125 in high school, so I don’t know why I’m 32 years old, dropping down to 125 again,” Sampson told MMAjunkie Radio. “Training camp is the hardest part of my job.
