Khamzat Chimaev continues to struggle finding activity in the octagon. Dana White revealed that Chimaev (13-0 MMA, 7-0 UFC) was too “violently ill” to make his UFC on ABC 6 main event vs. Robert Whittaker (25-7 MMA, 16-5 UFC) June 22 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, leading to his withdrawal. Chimaev’s manager Majdi Shammas took to Instagram to confirm Chimaev’s illness. “It’s with great disappointment announced that Khamzat Chimaev (13-0) has been forced to withdraw from his scheduled fight against #3 ranked Robert Whittaker on June 22nd in Riyadh. The persistent illness that Khamzat has been battling for major parts of training camp could not be cured in time.
