Currently sitting on the cusp of a bantamweight title shot, Kevin Belingon (12-3) plans to state his case for gold against Dae Hwan Kim (9-0-1) this Friday at ONE FC 14. Belingon was in a similar situation last year before he faced Masakatsu Ueda at ONE FC 9, but that fight didn’t go his way and he lost out on the chance to challenge for the belt. The 26-year-old doesn’t plan on allowing history to repeat itself, though, and believes he has shored up the holes in his game that allowed the loss to Ueda to occur in the first place. “For my fight with Ueda I gassed out,” Belingon told MMAjunkie. “I improved my endurance routine and it will not happen again in this next fight.” Belingon believes the matchup with Kim is the perfect stepping stone to showcase his skills and earn a future bout against reigning ONE FC champion Bibiano Fernandes (15-3). Kim is the type of fighter who always presses forward and looks to finish a fight by knockout or submission
