At 51, Ken Shamrock appears to have no illusions that he is near the top of the MMA game. As he prepares to square off with Kevin “ Kimbo Slice ” Ferguson at Bellator 138 this Friday, Shamrock feels that a commitment to training when your time at the top has passed you by is one of the biggest keys to victory. It’s been a rough ride for Shamrock (28-15-2 MMA, 0-0 BMMA) over the last decade. He has posted a 2-7 record since the start of 2005. The two victories came over opponents with combined records of 37-64, and Shamrock tested positive for anabolic steroids after his win over Ross Clifton in 2009.
