He underwent surgery shortly after and is now expected to take on former interim champ Colby Covington later this year. Meanwhile, Askren (19-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC), currently ranked No. 4 in the latest USA TODAY Sports/MMA Junkie MMA welterweight rankings , is slated to take on Jorge Masvidal at July’s UFC 239. Of course, just because they aren’t currently scheduled to face each other doesn’t mean the two wrestling standouts are above taking a swipe at one another when an opportunity arises
