GUADALAJARA, Mexico – Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. will set foot in the ring on Saturday, tailing a controversial weigh-in. The former WBC middleweight champion failed to make weight for his boxing bout against former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva in the main event of Tribute to the Kings, which goes down at Jalisco Stadium and is set to stream live on pay-per-view. Chavez Jr. weighed in on Friday morning at 184.4 pounds for his bout contracted at 182. The 35-year-old addressed the weight miss at the ceremonial weigh-ins on Friday afternoon, saying there was no contracted weight.
