UFC Fight Night 49 wasn’t the strongest event on paper, but from top to bottom, the entertainment value was among some of the year’s best. Rafael dos Anjos ’ (10-3 MMA, 6-3 UFC) shocking upset of former UFC lightweight champion Benson Henderson (21-4 MMA, 9-2 UFC) in the main event was easily the highlight off the night, but Jordan Mein (29-9 MMA, 3-1 UFC), Thales Leites (24-4 MMA, 9-3 UFC), Max Holloway (10-3 MMA, 6-3 UFC), James Vick (6-0 MMA, 2-0 UFC) and Chas Skelly (12-1 MMA, 1-1 UFC) also delivered strong, victorious performances. After every event, fans wonder whom the winners will be matched up with next.
