Filed under: News , UFC , Videos , WSOF No. 1-ranked women’s strawweight Jessica Aguilar is aiming for a UFC title after her release from WSOF, but she’ll also settle an old score. Aguilar is pushing to sign with the UFC and said she’ll fight for the title or work her way there “if it’s the right deal, of course,” she today told MMAjunkie Radio. “I want to be the UFC champion; I want to retain my No. 1 ranking, and so that’s in the UFC,” she said. “That’s against those tough ladies there, so I guess that’s it.” Aguilar (19-4) became a free agent when WSOF President Ray Sefo and matchmaker Ali Abdelaziz agreed to release her after a six-month period of inactivity ; she won the promotion’s strawweight title in 2014 and twice defended her belt.
