It’s weird times – even by MMA standards – when an entire event gets relocated from one state to another on just six days’ notice all because of an “atypical finding” in one fighter’s drug test. And yet, here we are. UFC 232 is still happening Saturday night, but it’s been moved from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas to The Forum in Inglewood, Calif., after a Jon Jones drug test came back with that aforementioned “atypical finding” of trace amounts of the same turinabol metabolite that caused his most recent 15-month suspension. Jones’ test result isn’t in violation of the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency, but the Nevada State Athletic Commission still won’t license him on such short notice, which is why the UFC has decided to move the entire show to California where Jones is eligible to compete.
