Longtime UFC lightweight James Vick is the latest fighter to move out of the 155-pound division. Wednesday, Vick announced his move to welterweight in a lengthy Facebook post, noting his weight cuts have “really sucked these past few (years)” while denying they played a part in his current three-fight skid. “I don’t feel this way because of losing but in my opinion it’s the opposite I’ve been losing because I feel like this,” he wrote four days after a knockout loss to Dan Hooker at UFC on ESPN 4. At 6-foot-3, Vick (13-4 MMA, 9-4 UFC) has faced questions about his weight in the past. But he said a recent personal revelation affected his training more than anything physical.
