Eight months ago, David Mitchell (14-4) admits he was considering walking away from MMA. A cup of coffee and a trip to Sacramento changed all that. “My dad always said growing up, ‘If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it,’ but when you go one-for-five and you get knocked out and you lose that many fights in a row, something is obviously broken,” Mitchell told MMAjunkie. “It was time for a fresh start.” Mitchell opened his professional fighting career at 11-0, with nine of those victories coming by way of submission.
