Frey now has his sights set on the woman who took the atomweight title from Tiburcio at Invicta FC 13, Ayaka Hamasaki . Hamasaki (13-1) successfully defended the title on Friday’s UFC Fight Pass-streamed event from Trinidad Pavilion at Tropicana Las Vegas, submitting Amber Brown (6-2) in the evening’s main event. Frey (5-1) winning a unanimous decision over Tiburcio (9-4) looks better on paper than Hamasaki’s split decision win, but she was almost able to put an exclamation point on the victory when she scored a knockdown with only seconds left in Round 2
