Although not officially announced, Costa (12-0 MMA, 4-0 UFC) was lined up to face Romero (13-3 MMA, 9-2 UFC) in a marquee middleweight bout early next year. “The Solider of God” already forced the matchup to be postponed once from UFC 230 in November due to injury. Costa, 27, waited for his fellow contender to overcome his injury, but Romero, 41, apparently isn’t eager to return the favor.
