Leon Edwards lost the welterweight title at UFC 304 last July, coming up short to Belal Muhammad by unanimous decision. He returned in March against Sean Brady and was defeated by guillotine choke in the fourth round. Welterweight contender Ian Machado Garry wasn’t surprised that Edwards lost to Brady in the UFC London main event. He believes when “Rocky” experiences adversity in a fight he ‘quits’ because ‘he’s not a fighter at heart.’ “We’ve seen in the Kamaru [Usman] fight, we’ve seen in the Belal fight, and we seen in the Sean Brady fight, when the going gets tough Leon doesn’t like to be there,” Machado Garry said on the Ariel Helwani Show . “I believe that Belal Muhammad put out the blueprint for everyone to go out and beat Leon Edwards. Put him on the back foot, take him down, smash him, control him and he’ll quit. He doesn’t want to be there.
