LAS VEGAS – It was a quick night at the office for Drako Rodriguez , who used his slick submission skills to earn a UFC contract. Rodriguez (7-1) put Mana Martinez to sleep in the first round Tuesday at Dana White’s Contender Series 32 in a bout where he looked to be in a compromised position before flipping the script on Martinez (6-2) and securing the triangle choke. Speaking to reporters, including MMA Junkie, backstage after his contract-winning performance, Rodriguez broke down his submission win, and explained that he wants to make improvements before competing again.
