LAS VEGAS – While he has respect for Jon Jones in advance of UFC 239, Thiago Santos isn’t viewing the UFC light heavyweight champion as anything more than human. Santos (21-5 MMA, 13-5 UFC) and Jones (24-1 MMA, 18-1 UFC) will collide in Saturday’s headliner, which takes place at T-Mobile Arena. The main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on ESPN and ESPN+/UFC Fight Pass. At UFC 239’s media day on Thursday, the 35-year-old title challenger told MMA Junkie he doesn’t view Jones as the same otherworldly figure many others do. “We can’t take the merit (away from) Jon Jones,” Santos said. “He’s a great fighter.
