However, while Newton (23-7-1 MMA, 6-1 BMMA) isn’t exactly overlooking Joey Beltran (15-10 MMA, 1-1 BMMA), who will challenge for the 205-pound title at Friday’s Bellator 124 event at Compuware Arena in Plymouth Township, Mich., he believes his time as the top dog is just getting started.
