Former WEC featherweight champion Mike Brown will step up to face Estevan Payan at UFC on FOX 11 , officials announced on Wednesday. Brown comes into the fight for an injured Sean Soriano to meet Payan on the card, which takes place April 19 in Orlando, Fla. Brown (26-9) last fought in August of last year at UFC fight Night 26 in Boston in an undercard bout against Steven Siler . The outing didn’t last long, however, and Siler knocked out Brown at just 50 seconds into the first round. Payan (14-5, 1 NC) is coming off a loss as well, dropping his last fight to Robbie Peralta at UFC 168 last December. The loss was Payan’s second in a row, and the fighter is yet to taste victory since coming to the UFC from Strikeforce
