Bill Brady today stepped down as a commissioner with the Nevada State Athletic Commission after eight years on the job. “To all the things in life there is a season, and I believe my season on the Nevada Athletic Commission must now come to an end, so that another exciting season may begin,” wrote Brady in a letter announcing his resignation ( viewable here ), effective immediately. Brady, who served as the influential commission’s chairman before the appointment of current chair Francisco Aguilar, told the Las Vegas Review Journal he had been thinking about resigning for several months, but may have made up his mind in the wake of controversy stemming from this month’s mega-boxing event between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao
