Filed under: Featured , News , UFC , Videos The UFC today announced the hiring of former Legacy FC President Mick Maynard as the industry leader’s new vice president of talent relations while also announcing the promotion of longtime matchmaker Sean Shelby. Shelby, a 14-year UFC employee, will now serve as the senior VP of talent relations after splitting the job with Joe Silva, who retires at year’s end after 20 years with the promotion. “Joe Silva’s contributions to the UFC over the last 20 years were huge, and he played a big role in helping make the sport as big as it is today,” UFC President Dana White stated in the release. “He left his mark on this sport and I wish him nothing but success in retirement.
