Pennington (6-5 MMA, 3-2 UFC) welcomed Holm (9-0 MMA, 2-0 UFC) to the octagon for the first time when they met at UFC 184 in February. Pennington was a heavy underdog in the women’s bantamweight fight, but she surpassed expectations by making it a competitive fight for 15 minutes before losing a close split decision in a fight that helped sent Holm on her way to a title shot opposite Rousey (12-0 MMA, 6-0 UFC). “Rocky” has also spent plenty of time around Rousey.
