VTJ in Osaka is set for June 21 and will be headlined by a bout between two flyweights looking to get their careers back on track after some indifferent results, as former Deep and Pancrase champion Yoshiro Maeda faces Kentaro Watanabe . Watanabe (10-6) is coming off back-to-back defeats for ONE Championship and PXC, although on both occasions he was unfortunate to find himself on the wrong end of the decision after close and competitive three-round fights. Despite being just two years the senior of his upcoming opponent, Maeda (31-15-5) is far more experienced and once fought Miguel Torres for the WEC 135-pound title. However, he’s only won once in his last six outings and even that was due to a majority decision
