In her Invicta FC debut last December, flyweight prospect Rachael Ostovich came out on top of a close split-decision against Evva Johnson, though she doesn’t feel the fight was as close as the scorecards indicated. “I was actually surprised it was a split-decision,” Ostovich told MMAWeekly.com. “I thought I had more of an edge in the rounds. That’s why you should never leave it in the hands of the judges. I’m just glad I won. I wish I would have finished it, but other than that, I’m grateful for the victory.” Having spent much of her career in Hawaii, making the jump to Invicta and gaining some mainland success was a big thing for Ostovich.
