Bobby Razak is one of MMA’s most talented filmmakers, and his library of content runs deep into the initial roots of the sport from the early ’90s and beyond. There have been plenty of documentaries that have gone in-depth about the rise from “human cockfighting” to the mainstream machine it is in 2021, but Razak thinks there are very few unbiased perspectives showcasing how it flourished from a spectacle into a structure sport. He’s of the opinion that his 2012 film “History of MMA” more fairly details the journey. With hopes to educate newer fans about how the sport as it is today came to be, Razak opted to re-publish the film this year, and it’s available for order on Vimeo for $19.99. Check out MMA Junkie’s Q&A with Razak looking back on the film and why he felt motivated to push it back out to the public now.
